Albert learns that Paul Vercors is behind his imprisonment. Meanwhile, during a visit to
one of Lifeline's safe-houses - dubbed 'The Ritz' - Dr. Keldermans makes a horrific
discovery while examining one of the evaders. He relieves Monique of her gun and locks
the door before he tells the others that he thinks the man is dying of bubonic plague. He is
determined to prevent the disease spreading further and insists that they must sit out their
fate...
