An evader called Romsey (who is important to London), takes the wrong train and finds
himself lost in the French countryside. He is eventually directed to the home of an English
author - Hugh Neville. Neville's loyalties are unclear and a visit from his friend Inspector
Dubois ultimately leads to a betrayal...
