A church first finished in
1715 which was originally attached to the old Minimens convent. It has since
been demolished and rebuilt. The building is said to mark the transition phase from
Flemish Baroque to Classicism.
The exterior of the church and the street on which it is situated feature
heavily in the final episode of Secret Army:
The Execution. It is here that
Monique and Durnford are married (the ceremony was filmed at Holy Trinity
Church, South Kensington, London) and after the service is over that the end
of the war is celebrated in the street. During the victory peels other
churches in Brussels including the Cathedral of St
Michael and St Gudula and the Notre Dame du Sablon
are shown
The Rue Des Minimes
