Career History - Anna Pitt

Anna Pitt enjoyed a successful career as an actress throughout the 1970s; in addition to her appearances in five episodes of Survivors, she also appeared in When the Boat Comes In (BBC), Bloodletting (BBC Scotland), and Coronation Street (Granada). As a classically trained actress from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, her preference was always for the theatre and she worked extensively in rep including Newcastle, Perth, Edinburgh, Lincoln, Crewe and Canterbury. She worked with Lindsay Anderson in David Storey's Life Class (starring the late Alan Bates) at the Royal Court, which transferred to the West End, appearing as Stella, the nude model. At the end of the '70s, Anna worked extensively in commercials, radio and voiceovers, including appearing in the award-winning series of Vladivar Vodka ads as a Russian spy posing as a ballerina!

In 1980, Anna made a career change and went into public relations. She has since enjoyed a successful career with her own PR consultancy in Covent Garden, which still exists today. She currently spends her time between London and a beach house in Sussex.
